What the AI!
AI is accepted and adored by many; abhorred by others. I believe AI is a powerful tool for creating content. I offer a lower rate if you desire AI-generated content that has been optimized and edited. Allow me to walk you through my professional thoughts about using AI tools with writing.
AI Tools in Writing
An AI-generated article is similar to a rough draft created by a human—it provides a foundation that still requires thoughtful grammatical refinement, fact analysis, and tone correction. My artistry emerges during the editorial process, where I infuse the draft with creativity, insight, and a personal touch. This robust process occurs whether the article is my original writing, AI-generated, or written by you. You will always have a choice in which is the source for your article.
Revisions and oversight are key to all writing types, whether creative, technical, or SEO. No writer worth their weight in pencils skips the editing process. Any writer using AI tools as an accompaniment must be a phenomenal editor. I am a Poynter-Aces Certified editor and a member of the Freelancers Editorial Association.
AI is a tool much like the cotton gin. The purpose is to improve productivity. Artificial intelligence is the future of business, and the writing community must learn how to incorporate its impact into its content. I am not against AI because some great AI tools help generate fairly decent content. A strong writer must be a strong editor. Content generated by AI is no different than the first draft of content written by hand. Both pieces must still undergo rigorous editing, SEO optimization, and fact-checking.
As a professional writer, I recognize that the masterpiece in the craft is in the editing. Who better to manipulate AI content than a writer who is trained to know how it should read? AI content forces professional writers to become serious about editing.
What does this mean for our consumers? Some consumers will use AI independently and generate content that sounds perfect. Still, a professional writer will recognize fluff, which AI is notorious for producing. An experienced writer will also know if the format is appropriate or if keyword saturation has been achieved.
This is why AI is a tool, much like a hammer. A nail cannot hammer itself, and a hammer by itself is has no impact. Would you rather depend on AI alone or use a professional writer as an editor of your AI-generated content? Or if you had the choice to use a drill to screw in ten screws over using a manual screwdriver, which would you rather use if the result is the same?
All written material should be edited before publication. If your goal is to write to attract customers, your content must go above and beyond the fluff generated by AI. This is where I help. If you desire a lower copywriting rate and receive AI-written content for a fraction of what you’d pay someone to write it from scratch, contact me to learn how I can be helpful to you.
Embracing AI in our workflows allows writers to focus on crafting compelling narratives while enhancing productivity, ultimately leading to more impactful content. See the AI-generated article below and how it has been properly edited, SEO optimized, and positioned as a successful lead-generating piece. Work with me, and you’ll have the option of original written content or content that uses AI tools as a framework.
